Hubble sees galaxies galore.....
To celebrate its 28th anniversary in space the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope took this amazing and colourful image of the Lagoon Nebula.
This image taken by Hubble shows the host galaxy of the quasar MC2 1635+119. The quasar sits in an indisturbed elliptical galaxy which shows a shell structure indicating a recent merger.
Although it's tricky for us humans to see, mouse feelings are written all over their furry little faces.
The atmosphere of the distant warm Neptune HAT-P-26b, illustrated here in an artist’s impression, is unexpectedly primitive, composed primarily of hydrogen and helium.
This artist's illustration shows a view of the gas giant planet HD 209458b, as seen from the surface of a hypothetical nearby companion object. The planet is orbiting so close to its sunlike star that its heated atmosphere is escaping into space.
